I just bought this news reel for about $140. Judging by the date on the reel, August 5, 1864, it appears to be the Battle of Mobile Bay . I have no doubt in my mind that this is real footage. I paid a pretty penny for it. A fake news reel would not have cost this much.
At the end of the video, James Ewell Brown Stuart saves Fort Morgan, resulting in a Confederate victory!

I've watched this video and can't help but think "this is awful!" I want my money back
Hey I'll give you back $50 and I will give you a private screening... the set up charge is $40 because the reel is so delicate.
